cruiselover1123 Posted September 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2004 Do they serve the same food at the buffet on formal night? What about room service on formal nights.
coiran Posted September 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2004 The buffet does not folow the dining room menu - you should be able to get the dining room menu as room service - better yet - get dressed up and join the crowd!! It's fun!!! Ron
ahracer Posted September 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2004 You will find some of the same items on the buffet but you're not going to find lobster tail there on formal night. Scott
Solo Cruiser Posted September 28, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Oh absolutely dress up and join the fun but if you choose not to.... you can enjoy the dining room menus in your cabin from room service.
cruiselover1123 Posted September 28, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Thanks. We're not totally anti-social. This cruise we are planning to do the "lobster night" in our formal wear, but the other night I was thinking of keeping it casual. I go to plenty of formal events (job related) so I'm thinking more of a relaxed casual atmosphere while on vacation. No rushing to get my hair/nails/makeup, etc., etc. I'm thinking maybe a romantic dinner under the stars (on our balcony).
GloriaF Posted September 28, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2004 That is what we're planning for our upcoming Nov cruise. We have always done formal nights with the crowd before, but this time we have an aft balcony and thought it would be nice to relax and eat there. JanetMarie Posted September 28, 2004 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2004 DH and I have "stopped in" to the buffet on the upper decks after formal night and have been impressed by what was offered. You certainly can't go wrong at any of the venues onboard, now can you? ;)

We are with you on doing a romantic dinner under the stars on our aft balcony. That will be at least one of the evenings while at sea that aren't Formal Nights. We look forward to dressing "to the nines" on our cruises because we don't have the opportunity at home as you do with your work. Greg
ERsecurity Posted October 3, 2004 #9 Share Posted October 3, 2004 The new Caribbean Princess does have a Lobster Buffet at the Caribe Buffet on formal night. They are quite proud of it.
