GJClay Posted March 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2008 We were on the Navigator last week and although had a wonderful cruise, I am wondering about an intense vibration in our cabin felt at times during slightly rough seas. We were in an E1 balcony, starboard side just before the hump begins. We have not experienced a vibration like this on our prior cruises (all two), and were wondering if this is common or if the location of the room had anything to do with it? It did bother my husband quite a bit, and if it is avoidable by stateroom selection, I would appreciate any advice.
cb at sea Posted March 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2008 It happens sometimes! Especially in rougher waters--the engines really have to strain then!

The vibrations are a normal result of the ship staying as stable as possible in rough seas. Although it is not avoidable, I think I have felt less of such rough-seas vibrations on cruises that we were booked in the forward third of the ship, well ahead of the stabilizers and the props/azipods.
