citoman Posted September 30, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Can anyone please tell me what is the condition of the Legend of the Seas. My family and I were thinking of taking the Panama Canal Cruise-14 days- in December and read the ship is almost 10 years old. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Citoman
98Charlie Posted September 30, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2004 We were on the LOS just 4 weeks ago and found her to be in excellent shape. Clean and crisp. She is headed for dry dock in Lisbon next April after her transatlantic repositioning. The captain was the most visible and active of any we have seen in 7 cruises. (On 4 different lines and all different ships.) The pride he had in the ship was obvious. All together we had a great time.

Wor Lad Posted September 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Thanks Charlie and Steve; this is good to know. We're on the Hawaii run this coming 21 NOV and the is not much said about the Legend. In fact there's not much interest in the M&M sign up either. Thanks again. D4 Posted October 1, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 1, 2004 We were on the Legend in July and thought it was in great shape. It was our 10th cruise and is one of our favorite ships on any line. The cabins were very well laid out, the crew was super friendly, and although the ship was full it never seemed crowded. We'd go on it again in a heartbeat. cctexan Posted October 1, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 1, 2004 Glad to hear she is in good shape. We too are booked on her for the Hawaii run...only we board in Honolulu on December 2nd. As Wor Lad said, not too much out there and not even much interest in the M & M thread for the cruise. We sailed her about nine years ago and absolutely loved the ship. Glad to hear she is still being taken care of. Aloha
Jimbo Posted October 1, 2004 #8 Share Posted October 1, 2004 Can you be ready in 3 weeks to set sail? Still have room on the Radiance of the Seas October 24th 2004 sailing? 14 day Panama Canal Cruise San Diego to Miami. Not to late! Jimbo:)
hardingk Posted October 1, 2004 #9 Share Posted October 1, 2004 We were just on her in May. I posted a very lenghty review about our trip if you are interested. http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=5156
