I am curious about the group cruises I see posted. There are five couples of us looking at the May 09 Alaskan cruise. We have already gotten prices. What do you do ask people to join your group to get a better price. Thanks for your help

On Cruise Critic, you can only ask people to join your group cruise if it is an official Cruise Critic approved/sponsored group cruise. Perks include better rates and/or extra on-board credit, and obviously the chance to meet some CC people in real life :) To be a group cruise, you need at least 8 cabins. If you set it up and do all the work, then you also get some extra savings.

If you're doing a non-CC group cruise, you aren't allowed to ask other members on these boards to join your cruise. You can ask family, friends, neighbors, etc., but you can't get other members from the boards to join. Talk to your TA and see if there would be any discounts. I think you probably still need 8+ cabins.
