flormija Posted April 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2008 They're basically the same. We were in the Monet and had a wonderful time. The food on board was very good and we had a wonderful time watching the shows the dining room staff put on. You'll enjoy which ever you choose. Have fun! purplefrogs Posted April 20, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2008 We were in Monet and it was very nice. I do remember hearing that Renoir didn't have windows so no views of the water while you dine. Don't hold me to that though, guess I"ll have to take another cruise to jog the memory.
BlasterDave Posted April 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2008 Yes, The Monet is the only one with windows. As soon as you get on board go and find your table. If it is not close to the windows, hand the Maitre'D a nominal tip and ask to be changed to a window seat. Should be no problem.
*Mach* Posted April 20, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2008 The Monet is located aft and can provide some wonderful views of sunsets if the time of day is right... It is also the large of the two dining rooms and occasionally suffers a bit from that. No matter where you eat you'll be enjoying wonderful meals... nybumpkin Posted April 20, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2008 Monet is larger and has windows on three sides; Renoir is smaller and has windows on two sides. We've never been seated next to a window on any of our cruises. Our most important factor up to now has been dining time (we preferred 6:15), so if both dining rooms are seating at 6:00 now the location won't matter much to us. There's a bit more movement in the aft dining room, if that's important to some folks.
