Platinum Status

When we checked in last week at Port Everglades, the guy behind us was Elite and his relative that was with him was a first timer. He went through the preferred boarding line without a problem. We arrived at 12:30 and saw a huge wrap around line for regular boarding. There were about 50 people in the preferred line. My folks arrived about 1:15 and there was no line either place.

We are platinum and will be traveling to pier with 4 friends. Can the four friends be in the same platinum line as we are, since they are with us?

I would not expect it. I know when my brother and his wife were and we were not.... we just met up afterwards.

Besides .... sometimes the regular line goes faster than the preferred line. :(

We took some friends with us last year on Princess. They were first time cruisers and we are Elite. We were in the preferred line, they were not. They beat us onto the ship.. Go figure..
