dj addicted Posted April 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Is the casino on the carnival boats like Vegas? If you are gambling, drinks are free? I honestly wouldn't expect this if I was playing the penny slots, but if I'm playing blackjack or something.

tbjl24 Posted April 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Drinks are not free. However, I have read that if you introduce yourself to the casino host, he/she may comp a drink or two for you. Also, if you have a lot of points with Ocean Players Club.
big_duck Posted April 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Nope. Vegas Casinos give you free drinks to keep you in their Casino. Where are you going to go? Some "high rollers" do get the odd drink comped.
bonnys Posted April 30, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Only in our dreams. They charge the same price wether you are at the pool, at the lounge or at the slots and tables. Big money maker!

ejeffo Posted April 30, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Also... I am sure if they did offer free drinks, everyone and their brother would congregate in the casino and drop in an occasional coin just to get the drinks. I would not be pretty IMHO. seabrookcruiser Posted May 1, 2008 #8 Share Posted May 1, 2008 The cruise ship casino is not like most land-based casino's where someone will come around and offer you a drink. However, if you use the Ocean Player card and introduce yourself to the casino host, they will usually come around and offer to buy you drinks during your cruise. We always register with the Ocean Player's Club prior to our cruise. By registering, you can also get a few other perks during your cruise. On our last back-to-back cruise for 16 days on the Miracle, the casino staff bought us about 16 drinks during the entire 16 days of cruising. We played the penny, nickel and a few quarter and dollar slots. However, the majority of our play was on the penny slots. :)
