emerylynne Posted May 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2008 Other than typical traffic, anything we should be aware of driving in Saturday morning? We are planning on arriving early but want to allow extra time if necessary. thanks, Erika
slk230 Posted May 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2008 I'm not sure where you are driving in from. The airport? Should take about 30 minutes on a Saturday morning using highway 509 but could be as long as 45 minutes if you have to wait for a train or two. No Mariners game until 7pm that day. Do you need to park? Paying ahead of time is a real time saver. Google 'Port of Seattle' to find parking info.
SeattleCruiselover Posted May 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2008 Other than typical traffic, anything we should be aware of driving in Saturday morning? We are planning on arriving early but want to allow extra time if necessary. thanks, Erika They are doing something on 1st Av near Safeco Field and Pioneer Square that has had the traffic abominably messed up the past few days. Don't know if they will still be doing it on the weekend or not. No notices of viaduct or freeway work outside of the norm, so hopefully that will not be a problem. Still, just to be sure, you might want to give yourself a bit of extra time......accidents happen, if you know what I mean.
emerylynne Posted May 6, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted May 6, 2008 thanks for the heads up. we are coming in from the Tri Cities and knew there was construction in the area last fall so even though we are planning to arrive early want to ensure we have all the time we need.
