drkq Posted May 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2008 Re: LaHavre and Honfleur TOO Much to see and TOO much distance to do both. We stopped in Le Havre on the Golden Princess in '06. We took the Princess tour to Rouen. We loved Rouen! There is much to see and much history (e.g., The church painted by Monet, Joan of Arc, market, clock, etc.). Rouen is not overrun with tourist. The tour was approximately 6 hours. It was more than a hour to get to and from Rouen.

Thank you, Pam Honfleur is a picturesque place - it has a stunning fishing harbour that attracts many artists that you'll see painting their canvas. If I had the choice between Polperro and St Ives, I would choose Polperro. It is easier to get around than St Ives, and IMHO, much more quainter, and quieter . . . . you can easily imagine the pirates of old.

Thank you, Pam The train runs from Le Havre to Rouen only 30 mins and it is an easy city to walk and see on your own, Honfleur is in the opposite direction for easy travel.
