Has anyone been able to successfully bid on Priceline & get this hotel? What is the magic number for price? I would really prefer to get the Doubletree over the Crown Plaza due to the parking situation. Any help?? Please??

Check 'summary of winning bids' at the top of this forum. Looks like $65 for a 3* in San Pedro will get it. I've been there, it's nice enough, with a view.

 

Check out the Gaffey Street Diner, featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives at 247 N. Gaffey Street San Pedro about a mile away.

What is the parking situation? We are considering the Crowne Plaza but need to leave our car for 3 weeks. Can we, and what is the cost?

We stayed at the Doubletree but parked at the World Cruise Center, still $12/ day (http://www.sanpedro.com/spcom/crusshp.htm). We felt there was more security at the Cruise Center. Call them but I don't think there is a maximum number of days you can leave the car but maybe they have a hidden 'weekly' rate. I don't know what the Hotel will tell you for that many days but I'd call them.

Maybe you should reconsider the Doubletree after reading Hard2choose post on another thread regarding parking at the Doubletree. No charge?!
