Doug&Suzy-Q Posted May 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2008 I read several of your other posts....great info, thanks......we will be in St. Thomas in June with the grandkids 12/11/8. Since there will be 5 of us, we are renting a car......DH & I have been here only once, but this trip is for the GK.....swimming & eating:D Since there are 5 of us, and DH & I are paying for the entire trip..... we want to do lunch on the cheap:cool: Last year we stopped at the Dairy...what a treat..loved it. Can you recommend several economical and kid friendly places to eat lunch? We are starting at the west end, Charlotte Amalie, Crown Bay around to Hull Bay etc.... The Islander Posted May 12, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2008 If you are in Crown Bay during lunch time you can stop at Tickles which is at Crown Bay Marina; casual, good food, looks over the marina. If you go down to Hull Bay and are around there at lunch then there is Hull Bay Hideaway (http://www.hullbay.com/) that has burgers and the like, local hangout, just across from the beach. If you go from Hull Bay toward Magens for another Milk Shake :) you could stop at Indigo which is at Magens Point Resort for lunch. Indigo is a bit pricier than Tickles and Hull Bay. If you are really trying to save you could maybe pack a foldable picnic bag and then pick up some sandwhiches and drinks at a deli. In Havensight there is Gourmet Gallery and it has a deli. Gourmet Gallery has a location at the Crown Bay Marina so if you were docked at Crown Bay you could stop there. --Islander

crusinpsychRN Posted May 14, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2008 What is Kullaloo? Saw it on a few menus.
The Islander Posted May 15, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2008 Kallaloo is a soup-stew, usually with a base of greens like spinach and then meat - either pork or seafood. When pork it's a combo of parts like pig tail, pig snout in addition to chucks of meat. --Islander
