Rare Clay Clayton Posted May 13, 2008 #1 Posted May 13, 2008 Ok, so in trying to be a good fellow and wanting to give back to all who have given to me....I have cut apart, copied and now scanned the freestyle dailys from our recent cruise....but when I try to post them, it says the file can be no bigger than 97kb....I can't get them that small, even when I do them one by one...suggestions? I know other folks have posted them cuz I have read them...how did you do it?
slowhand Posted May 13, 2008 #2 Posted May 13, 2008 I use a freeware program called Easy Thumbnails to resize/adjust file size. By decreasing the jpeg quality the pictures should be under the limit but still readable.
Rare Clay Clayton Posted May 14, 2008 Author #3 Posted May 14, 2008 Hmmm, my scanner turns them into PDFs but maybe i can make them into jpgs...will have to see. Thanks for the suggestion. Clay
Texlahoma Posted May 14, 2008 #4 Posted May 14, 2008 If you can get your scanner to produce jpegs, an option would be to upload the images onto a free site, like photobucket.com, and then just post the web address of where they're located on the forum. That way, the files can be larger and better quality.
Carnac767 Posted May 14, 2008 #5 Posted May 14, 2008 Check the settings and options on your scanner. Instead of scanning the FSD as a document, select photo instead.
