Info you need to know re: Denrus & disembarking

Recommended Posts

We just returned from our Baltic Cruise (5/20 sailing on the Crown). Our roll call formed a group of 8 for a private tour with Denrus. We were happy with our tour, HOWEVER, and this is something you need to know, make sure you specify when you book your tour that you want headphones. Their site makes it sound like you automatically get them, however, we didn't and couldn't hear our tour guide all morning. We finally got them to deliver the headphones for our afternoon tour, but they made us pay for them. There are so many people on tour in the buildings with you it's impossible to hear the guide without headsets. They do provide them for the value tours, ours was considered a private tour.

Disembarking: On our cruise we had to form lines outside the ship to go through immigration. There was no problem having a private tour, they acknowledged it by having a private tour line outside. However, they only had one window open for us and the Princess tour lines moved quickly through Immigration, whereas we were kept waiting 1 hour. Princess told us it was immigration that decided to give us just one line, however, immigration said Princess put the signs up. Immigration didn't care what tour you were doing, they just looked at our passport, stamped it and in minutes you were on your way. Don't be afraid to get in a Princess line if they disembark the way they did on our cruise. From what I've read they did it differently on the cruise that followed ours, but it might have been because of rain.
