Do you or RCI pick up luggage

I will try this one more time if it gets posted twice sorry but just wrote this and it never appeared.

 

Leave in 20 days for AOS after just reading reviews I noticed someone mentioned that RCI took their luggage directly from airport to ship and they waited for over and hour at airport until they realized this happened.

It was my understanding that all passengers now must pick up own luggage then report to RCI rep am I correct in assuming this? I would not want to wait at the airport to find out my luggage arrived on the ship before me!

Yes, from what I've read, you pick up your own luggage.

You definitely have to pick up your luggage by yourself and give it then to RCI so that they can bring it to the ship.

We've only used the RCCL transfer from the airport once. We had to retrieve our luggage from the carousel and then put the ship's luggage tags on it. Then we hauled it to the bus, where it was loaded on & came with us. Perhaps the other posters were on a cruisetour?
