mpbmark Posted July 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2008 We took a cruise tour before our recent Baltic cruise spending several days in Paris and London. We may have spent somewhat more money to take this tour then if we had done it by ourselves, but there were several benefits. 1. All transportation to and from the airport to the hotels, transportation between cities and tours of the respective cities were included within the cruise tour cost. This included guides and all baggage handling. 2. Several meals were included and completely arranged by the guide. At one point, one of the selected restaurants in London had a power failure and was unable to provide a dinner. The guide, therefore, immediately made alternate arrangements and notified all tour participants, again with transportation arranged. 3. Great rooms at great hotels in good locations. 4. Small group (12 people) made interaction among the group very easy and in fact several people made arrangements to share dinners together and met during the course of the cruise for cocktails, before and after dinner. 5. The complete lack of planning and the no hassle tour was well worth the expense. Overall, it is an excellent way to begin your decompression prior to the cruise. cweed Posted July 7, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Thanks, sounds great. We are first timers to Europe so we thought this would be a good way to go.
