How to use the credits

We have never had onboard credits before. We got a couple small ones when we booked so how do I go about using them? Will I have something in hand that showes I have credit or what?

I always bring proof of the credits (such as emails, etc) just in case the credit isn't showing up on my account.

Excellent idea, old salt. That's what I do. The purser can solve a ploblem much quicker if you have documentation as proof. Never travel without it.;)

On most ships you can check your account from the TV in your room. I suggest that you check it when you first get in your room to see that you have received credit for your OBC.

Another great idea. I do this once everyday to make sure that there are no bogus charges posted to our account. One time recently, there was some in cabin beverages charged to our account which were not ours to the tune of $98.45 so be prudent listen to us, and check your balance often.

Some people call it the 'sink & sail' card for a reason, lol.;)

So back to the question, what to do, what to spend.....

You can go to the Supper club, (DO THIS!) you will not be sorry!

You can go to the SPA and get all gussied up for formal night.

You can buy Carnival schwag 50% off near the end of the cruise.

You can charge the babysitter to your card while you go lose all of your money in the casino.

You can charge excursions, drinks, booze, soda cards, towels, bathrobes, etc., etc..

There are literally thousands of ways to spend your credits and your credits are good for anything that can be charged to your sign and sail card. :D

Gingee, unless you have prepaid your tips, the first item on your Sail & Sign account will be the auto tips. Next will be your OBCs, which will be listed as a credit. Everything you purchase on the ship will then be on your S&S account, and at the end, your OBC credit will be subtracted, leaving the balance you actually owe. BON VOYAGE!:)

When I've gotten OBC, I also take proof w/me...just in case.

I think it is only a $50 cabin credit. I guess it all comes out the same though my daughter is in my mom's room (which we paid our daughter's half) and I would like her to have $25 to spend on something besides tips.
