TeacherSus Posted July 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2008 I'm wondering if anyone has spent a day in port (specifically Ocho Rios, Jamaica) volunteering in some way. Do you have any advice or contact information for me? I'm interested in spending the day helping somehow, whether its delivering supplies to a school, volunteering in a housing project, etc. While I realize that one day won't change much, every little bit helps. Any ideas? Thanks for the info!
Alady916 Posted July 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2008 Hi There I do extensive travel and cruising a make a point to partner with some organization in each country. Usually a orphanage or school. My suggestion is that you do the research before you go, make contact and have a definite place to give to when you get there. Caution and safety is a must inunknown countries. IT IS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Where are you going? perhaps I have a contact person for you.
