Sitka photography excursion?

Have you been on the Sitka photography excursion? I read the outline but was wondering if anyone has any specifics on what they shot, trying to figure out which lens to take.

Can't help you with that particular excursion as we just walked around in Sitka and to the National Historical Park but I am in Germantown as well and we went on this trip in June on the Oosterdam. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

My DH and I took this excursion and really enjoyed it. The guide was quite flexible with the itinerary offering us different options. We stayed at the harbor for a while because there were a bunch of eagles there. Then we went to the old airport where there were more eagles and some nice views of Sitka. Next we went to a park in the rain forest. Then he asked if there were any requests. When I asked if there was anywhere to see a tidal pool, he took us to a park where we could wald on the beach and see all sorts of sealife. Then we went to a park where we walked to a small waterfall. Last he took us on a quick tour of Sitka showing us places that we might like to visit and also places to eat lunch. During the tour we were given a reusable water bottle and a chocolate bar (wonderful Sitka made chocolate). We had a really enjoyable time. The guide was not a professional photographer and did not really give actual instruction so if that is what you are expecting then you will be disappointed.
