lesharona Posted July 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2008 My neice wants to go ziplining on our cruise in Oct. Our ports are St Thomas, Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia and St Kitts. Which of these ports would be the best for ziplining? I guess it is normal to be a little nervous about this if you have never done it before. I'm 60, are there many seniors who zipline? If you booked this through the ship do you recall the price range? Our's excursions are not yet posted. thanks, Sharon
SingerEsq Posted July 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2008 I've not done those ports, but on both ziplining excursions that I have been on, there have been people of ALL ages. The last one we did was in Puerta Vallarta. The lady in front of us was a grandmother and had to be well into her 70s. She had a GREAT time. The main physical part is walking to the platforms. It can be a bit of a hike. The actual ziplining part requires little physical exertion. If you're a good walker, you should have no troubles. dbeckett Posted July 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2008 If you are thinking of zip-lining in North America a word of warning -zip-lining isn't regulated (i.e. there are no standards or regulations to look after the safety of people doing it)
