If you have a 8 A booked (not guarantee) and a better location becomes available in the 8 A category can you move without cost.

The cost for a 8 A have gone up since we booked but some better locations have become available is why I asking.

Since we are staying in the same Category? I was hoping we could just move.

We just did this with our cruise scheduled for the Splendor in May 09, just called my PVP and had no problem or any additional fees.

Without some kind of "time reference", I would say "why not?" There could maybe be some nominal charge for this change. I don't see a problem.
