island visitor Posted August 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2008 We have just booked our second cruise on the Emerald and our cabin is P322. I looked on the diagram of the ship and looks like it is just below the casino. Has anyone stayed in this area and is it noisy? I am a pretty sound sleeper but was courious to see if anyone has any information on it.
Denisern2 Posted August 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2008 You will be fine the one location to avoid if light sleeper is under/over a music venue you can hear the base sometimes. Enjoy your cruise.
island visitor Posted August 14, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Thanks for your reply. I didn't think it would be a problem but have never had a cabin in that area. Thanks again!
RockinRobin Posted August 14, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2008 We stayed in P319, just around the corner from you. It is a very quiet location and perfectly located for late night drinks or early morning coffee as you are just steps from the international cafe and coffee bar. We heard footsteps occasionally at night only and it was very quiet overhead during the morning. We never heard "casino noise" such as slot machines or people screaming about winnings. Have a great trip. Robin
island visitor Posted August 14, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted August 14, 2008 I did see that we would be close to the international cafe and thought that would be great to be just steps from have a wonderful cup of coffee. I am so excited and anxious to go!
Treven Posted August 14, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 14, 2008 I'll be in P340 (Southern Caribbean, next April) which is right behind the Piazza and just below one of the entrances to the casino. Fortunately I'm a heavy sleeper so I don't anticipate being kept awake.
BettyCruiser Posted August 15, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 15, 2008 I was in room P330 and absolutely loved the location of the room. It was so convenient to the Piazza and also very close to the gangway used in ports. There is no noise from the casino at all. The only night there is any noise is the second formal night when they have the party and champagne waterfall in the Piazza, but then they close the big fire doors and that blocks all the noise. I intend to stay in the same room or at least the same area next time I'm on that class of ship. Beth

(On older ships this was a virtual deadend). Now the passageway appears to look rather exposed, at least in pictures. Wish they kept that door closed during the day... I'm just pondering if I should move from here to the other side of the Art Gallery, 319 for instance??

NorcalGuy Posted December 22, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) this thread is 7 years old, might be better off starting a new one That cabin in regards to its proximity to the IC has not changed since 2008. I specifically wanted BettyCruiser's feedback, as she is one of the few people here who has posted as staying there.
