teacher2cruiser Posted September 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2008 OK, guys, I haven't sailed with Carnival, so please explain. Is there one specialty restaurant on the ships called Supper Club? I'm especially interested in Holiday and Glory. I think I read that there's a surcharge of $30 per person, is that correct? I'd like a little info. THANKS!
jessemon Posted September 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2008 On the Glory...Not on Holiday. Yes it is a $30 charge and well worth it.....
julieoregon Posted September 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2008 I agree! I just got off the Legend and eat in the supper club there. It was great. The chocolate desert was fantastic! http://s264.photobucket.com/albums/ii166/carey33/Legend%208%2024%2008/ There is a pic posted of it on my pics at photo bucket
SunnyinMA Posted September 4, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Totally worth the $30 surcharge. I have some pics of the food from the Splendor this summer: http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2706129110057363815KnSqzb And just a couple from the Liberty last summer: http://family.webshots.com/photo/2419516890057363815mBfCEd We always plan at least one night at the supper club. LizaMM Posted September 4, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Right, the Holiday will not have a Supper Club. The Conquest Class and Spirit Class have it. To be clear, this is an extra restaurant that you have the option of making a reservation and dining at with a $30 pp charge. There is no fee for the main dining rooms. The Specialty Restaurant/ Supper Club is wonderful and well worth the fee if you enjoy food and a great atmosphere! Dinner here takes longer, has more courses, incredible food a dance floor and live dining music. It is certainly a special experience. I am planning on taking my DD's to the Supper club on our next cruise on the night of my DD's b-day......Can't wait already and it's m-o-n-t-h-s away! yeg111 Posted September 4, 2008 #6 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Yes, the extra $30.00 per person we spent for our meal in the Supper Club on the Glory was worth every penny. Amazingly large portions and everything was delicious. At $30.00 it's actually a bargain considering what you pay going out to a hometown Keg or something similar. VentureMan_2000 Posted September 4, 2008 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Some folks eat every dinner at the Supper Club...
SpacemanSpiff Posted September 4, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 4, 2008 OK, I know that the best way to get the night you want, you need to sign up when you get on board. But, with search being down, I haven't been able to find out where to go to make a reservation! Where is the reservation desk for the supper club? Thanks! (We'll be on the Liberty next Saturday!) KatSt Posted September 4, 2008 #9 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Here's the link: http://surv.cheetahmail.com/s?aid=982238741&o=1&n=28 Since you're leaving next week I would definitely check with Harry's Supper Club as soon as you get on the Liberty to make sure they have your reservation. It may be too close to the cruise for them to get the email reservation. Enjoy!
mom&me_cruising Posted September 4, 2008 #10 Share Posted September 4, 2008 They usually set up a table in the Atrium on the first day which shows you some of their offerings and take reservations. There is also a phone a number you can call once you get on board.
CEWayfarer Posted September 4, 2008 #11 Share Posted September 4, 2008 We usually eat at the Supper Club on the very last night of our cruise; if we ate there earlier in the voyage, we'd never be able to go back to the 'regular' dining room! The food was amazing!
