peggy1 Posted September 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Does anyone know of a back to back cruise early next year that would do mainly Australia including the area for GBR and then do New Zealand and end up back in Sydney? So many of the cruises that do both areas only do southern Australia. Thanks
Rare MMDown Under Posted September 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Does anyone know of a back to back cruise early next year that would do mainly Australia including the area for GBR and then do New Zealand and end up back in Sydney? So many of the cruises that do both areas only do southern Australia. Thanks One option to consider would be doing two cruises with different cruise lines, with a break in Sydney in between. P&O cruises to GBR from Sydney, and a number of cruise lines cruise Sydney - NZ - Sydney.
moojar Posted September 6, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2008 Rhapsody of the Seas is doing a cruise Sydney - Fremantle (Perth) around the top of Oz, then Fremantle - Tasmania - NZ - Sydney. 35 nights all up, leaves Sydney Feb 24. Looks to be heavily booked though - the RCI website is showing only interiors and suites available for both cruises. One or two of the Princess ships are doing circumnavigations of Australia too, but that does not include NZ.
moojar Posted September 6, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2008 MM's idea might be your best shot if you don't want to go all the way around Oz. I know Rhapsody is doing Sydney - GBR cruise/s over summer, as are the Princess ships. P&O Australia ships go there often from Sydney and Brisbane. Lots of cruises between Sydney and NZ coming up, either one-way or r/t. Rhapsody, Celebrity Millennium, HAL's Volendam, one or more Princess ships, maybe even P&O Australia. The QM2 and Queen Vic. drop in on their world cruises as well.
