Guarantee on the Pride: Embarking in Long Beach & Other Questions

We will be sailing aboard the Pride over Thanksgiving; got our documents a week ago, so we are all set. As we booked a guarantee cabin, we have TBA luggage tags. I'm aniticipating we will get our stateroom number at the port, but I'm hoping it will show up on the website sometime soon.

Before we leave for the cruise, I want to make sure we have all of our documents in order, and that means our luggage ID's as well. I'm going to to assume we will get new luggage tags. Until then, would you suggest I fill out the ones they gave me? I'm concerned about having too many "tags" on my bags. Yes, I'll have our own suitcase tags with our name and address. But do I want to fill out the gray TBA tags also?

We are heading to Long Beach the day before the cruise. What time is the best time to go to the port? We did our "Fun Pass" registration months ago. I hate waiting in long lines, and would prefer to be on the ship asap. But will getting there in the morning just cause more problems? I noticed the documents indicated 1:30-3:30 for embarkation. ANy suggestions would be much appreciated.

When our pack arrived we had a stateroom number but TBA tags. We just used those and had no worries.

Check out my post from our Pride trip last week for more details on when to get there, what to look for etc.....

Cheers,

Gary

What we've done in the past is fill out our information on the TBA tags and the porters give you new tags at the dock. They write the actual cabin number on the new tags. I assume if they see a TBA and a real tag, they look at the real one to get the bag to you. We've never had an issue getting our bags, have fun and enjoy the Pride, she's a great ship.
