Reva_Dearchi Posted October 28, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2004 I've been checking (daily) airfares from Buffalo, NY to Rome and see today that the US Air fare went from $1500 down to $979 (for next August). Although this looks great, I'm holding out for a really special deal where I get get it for about $700 :) I may be making a huge mistake but I have a lot of time so I'll gamble on this one! babs275 Posted October 28, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2004 From watching the Bestfares site for years, I would speculate that the really good summer fares will come out around feb/march. Of course that all depends on world events and the price of fuel as well!

dbhudgins Posted October 30, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 30, 2004 We booked airfare on Sidestep for $823 per person - going SavannahGA to JFK and on to Rome via Heathrow. Return same way. We did not book with cruise as we wanted to stop longer in Rome on way over. You might try sidestep - they were the cheapest we found...we are sailing on Liberty 9/6/05. Happy Sails to You. dbh Glory 12/04 Liberty 09/
Reva_Dearchi Posted November 1, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted November 1, 2004 That sounds better than what I've found so far but what is 'sidestep'? Many thanks!
sea_u_onboard Posted November 2, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 2, 2004 Sidestep.com is similar to expedia and other comparision programs. You will have to download a little program and it does get annoying sometimes - it loads whenever you are searching for travel. Does come up with some good deals.
