Southern Cruise on Victory

I know the idea of the Southern cruise is to stop at all those different ports. Our friends are excited at this possibility while I am thinking -- overload! I like to hang on the ship and relax a bit. SO my question to you all would be which of the below is worth skipping to hang on the ship and which is a "not" miss. All opinions and advice are greatly appreciated.:D

1. St. Thomas (been there - but took a day sail and it took all day)
   
2. Dominica
   
3. Barbados
   
4. St. Lucia (thinking of the Colsol tour..looks good)
   
5. Antingua (been to Prickly Pear via St. Maarten)
   
6. St. Kitts

DH & I are taking our grown children & their mates on this cruise in June. I hate not having sea days, but I was over-ruled by the children...even though I am paying....:p I plan on just doing some walking around and shopping in a port or two and then getting right back on the ship. I would be interested in reading the responses too. Thanks for posting this.

Do not miss the Cosol tour in St. Lucia - it is fabulous!!

 

St. Kitts has excellent beaches!

 

Have only been to Barbados once, we weren't wowed by it. If I had to pick one to skip it might be Barbados.

I second not missing the Cosol tour in St. Lucia-best excursion we have ever taken.

My DP and I did this in May and are going again in April of 09. We loved it! The only Island we did not care for was Barbados. Dominica is a do not miss, book a tour and see the Island! We booked with Woody for a private tour for 6 of us and it was well worth it. I can't remember who all we booked with for the other islands, but we did a tour in St. Lucia and Barbados. This year we will either stay on the ship or just go to a beach in Barbados. If you have any questions let me know and i will dig out who we booked for which island.

Here's what we did on our Southern Caribbean last October:

St. Thomas~rented a jeep and toured the island and beaches

Dominica~took an island tour with Levi Bumpiing; excellent

Barbados~beach day at Malibu Beach

St. Lucia~took an island tour/beach stop with Cosol;excellent

Antigua~only Carnival excursion..island tour/beach stop

St. Kitts~We will be going there next month and booked an island tour/beach stop with Thenford Grey for $40pp

Whatever you decide to do...you will absolutely LOVE it!
