VUCruiser Posted October 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2008 We may be taking the Jewel to Canada mid-october. Is the pool open? Hot tubs? Or is it too cold and do they keep them drained? I know it will be cold but nothing like a hot tub in cold weather.
coffeebean Posted October 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2008 I have seen pictures that someone posted on the internet of kids in the hot tubs on the NCL Dawn covered with snow. If the Dawn fills their outdoor hot tubs in cold weather, I would hope the Jewel does too.

The water in both the pool and hots tubs are emptied and refilled after each cruise.
sailandcruise Posted October 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2008 I did the Jewel round-trip from NYC to Quebec in late October 2005. It was cold and rainy with high wind and seas for the first few days so the pools were closed and the hot tubs saw minimal use. Sunny and nice for the end of the cruise, i think there were a few people who used the pool but mostly the hot tubs.
