I have been on a 4 night 5 night and 7 night cruise. I am going on another 4 nighter in November because we are trying to minimize the time the kids will have to miss school.

 

The only thing wrong with a 4 nighter is that it's over way too fast! You still get a formal night. You only stop at one port, but you still have 2 "Fun Day's at Sea". Just enjoy the short time you are on the boat. The fun is availabe to be had :)

Unless they've changed it there is an elegant night. We've been on 2 three night cruises and there was an elegant night on both. One thing you can expect on short cruises is a party. Most people are on them just to party.

If its a "weekender", expect a younger and possibly wilder crowd. After doing a 5/4 back to back, the 4 day people were certainly more into the party scene and drinking.

You can expect relaxation. Most only have one port and two days at sea. The Inspiration had been redone and the aft deck with cushy loungers, two hot tubs, and Zen music was the personification of Tranquility.

I have been on a few 3 and 4 nighters. The weekend ones are a lot "livelier"

The 3 dayers were on the Sensation to Nassau.

On The 4 dayers 2 went to Key West and cozumel with 1 day at sea. (well 1.5 since Key West is a short day)

And the other one went to Calica and somewhere with 1 day at sea.

 

They definately are over too fast!

I want to take the Carnival Splendor 4 night out of Ft.lauderdale visiting Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk & one full day at sea. It's from a Monday to a Friday.

I'm going in December on a 4 nighter (it's my 3rd cruise).

I'm going to miss another return guest party apparently--I've only been able to take short cruises so far.
