we arrived in san juan on a friday and were there from 3p-midnight, the one thing that was the most unexpected thing was that we had a ARMED escort in by the us coastguard, i had no idea that was going to happen so it was weird seeing the gun on the boat being maned, and they followed us all the way in from sea to the port and when a small private boat was leaving as we were comming in they road along side the private boat untill they were out to open water and away from the cruise ship...me and my friends really had no idea what to do because not many tours were offered...we wanted to see the bacardi factory , and senor frogs, and just walk around a bit...so when we got off at the terminal in pr, we walked outside where we were greated by a small band playing some music, and we walked up to the taxi stand to see about getting a ride to the bacardi factory..the lady had told us we could get one there for either 10$ or less per person, dont remember the exact amount...BUT she said that we would have to get the drivers cell #, and call him when we were done because she said there are like no taxis in that area so we decided not to risk it and just stayed local to the port, within a 10 min distance from the ship...so we walked about 2 blocks away and went to the casino there, which is across the street from SENOR FROGS, less then a 10 min walk from ship port...went in the casino played a few dollars it was pretty cool, very nice and cool , was great to get in some ac it was pretty warm that day...then we walked over to the frogs just to see what it was like, and it was dead at the time so we walked around town...lots of cool stores, cigar shops, etc...after a little shopping we went back to frogs which at this point was getting pretty packed...i have to say SENOR FROGS was the best time i had all trip, they give away free liquor like nothing, get very involved with games and other types of things obviously to win free shots or beer etc....they have a shot girl that comes around, and its 3.50 a shot, she puts the shot in her mouth, then you take it from her mouth with yours ( from the shot glass ), then she shakes your head, spins you around , pinches your nipples, or for the woman she grabs their boobs and shakes em around, and then bends you over and spanks you lol , ugh its such a great time there! highly recommend it!....then after that we went back to the ship for some dinner...liquor is very cheap both at shops, and the terminal where you dock, there is a upstairs there which sells more liquor and cologne/pefume upstairs....this was just my experiance , im a first time cruiser, and i thought this would help out any other first timers out there on everything they wanted to know

Senor Frogs won't be on my list. I guess people your age like that kind of stuff but it will probably seem classless to anyone over 30.

wow...classless:eek: that was kinda harsh stereotyping 20 year olds into a classless range just because they go to SF... I'm 41 years old, not a partier; just an occassional drinker...but I do and will visit Senior Frogs for the experience this month..I've heard so many good reviews about it from people of ALL ages..I don't think it seems classless at all..lighten up, perfect stranger;)

The shot scenerio isn't the only thing at SF...my friends said they play fun instruments, dance, and just have fun...personally, and I forgot to mention in my previous post....I WILL NOT be doing the shot thing:eek:

"they have a shot girl that comes around, and its 3.50 a shot, she puts the shot in her mouth, then you take it from her mouth with yours ( from the shot glass ),HUH NO then she shakes your head, That would make me dizzy (at my age...LOL) spins you around ,that'd make me even more dizzy... pinches your nipples or for the woman she grabs their boobs and shakes em around, Ain't gonna happen  and then bends you over and spanks you"

oh stop being a bunch of old farts, there were people of all ages there, there was one man had to be in his 50s or 60s participating in a drinking challenge where he took a shot of tequilla, and then chugged a beer trying to win free shots, and also people of all ages were takin shots from the shot girl and i was there with someone in their 30s and they had a blast, so if you cant come out of your shell for 1 day and try some things you normally wouldnt do, then have a miserable vacation, but dont put me or anyone else down just because your to prude to experiance life, and leave the good times to people who want them...just because your having fun doesnt mean your making a fool of your self, its called a good time, you should try it one day

It's all good, name of the game :p Charlie was just giving a review of his time at SF in PR...the shot thing isn't the only thing that goes on at SF, per my friends...and yes sometimes people go a little overboard at times....but then it is a vacation and people are intitled to go nutz if they choose..who knows maybe these people don't normally act like this or their lives are stressful at home and it's their chance to let loose for once:D

Let's leave this alone before it gets ugly...whenever posters start stereotyping or start name calling it's time to let it go...again, thanks Charlie for your review...

I'm only 21 and even I wouldn't engage in behavior like that. Its disrespectful to girls. Some people can't go on vacation or in a bar without making a fool of themself.

Your mom raised you well...she should be proud of you:)

Thanks for your review of San Juan! :D We were on the Miracle before you. We went to Senor Frog on our first cruise and also in 2005 in Grand Caymen. I think most adults of ages that like to go to bars would have fun! I am 36 and may be an old fart but a fun one I hope! :D

no problem ,thanks for your response...i think when your on vacation no matter if your 5 or 80 you should come out of your shell, and have the best week of your life, thats why its vacation...its a shame some people r to reserved and would consider it "making fools of them selves" ..i my self am a fairley reserved person...but for once i decided to say screw it, and i didnt look back and it was a great time

We're in our 60's and loved Senior Frogs.... our participation or lack thereof in certain things was our choice, we had a blast ... once was probably enough, but it was an experience we get lots of laughs from when remembering!!! I'm not a drinker, but DH. an old fart with a capital F, got totally wiped out and we danced for hours!!! Our 20'somthing son was with us as was another couple and their 20'something daughters..... I'm not sure who had more fun... but I think it was the old F & me!!!
