Freeport Bahamas +Beach = ?

Will be on the Conquest in Freeport Bahamas in March. Wanna do the beach thing, does anyone know a good beach to spend the day and the details or particulars?

We took a taxi to Lukaya National Park ($3 per person), taxi was $20 pp (but we had 12 people and he spent the day with us, even swam with us in his boxers...Clyde!

 

The beach was Gold Rock Beach -- beautiful -- undeveloped

We were the only family there. But bring a lunch - there is NOTHING there but beautiful sand and clear water!

 

You will have to walk on a boardwalk through the mangrove marsh, but it's worth the walk. There are also caves you can tour across the street.

We LOVE the beaches in Freeport.

 

I laugh when some rate the place on where the ship pulls in. The place is BEAUTIFUL. You just need to get there.

We were not impressed with Freeport...Grab a cab and just explore, I guess. The sand there was like mud - so fine. But other than that - nothing to write home about.

Have fun.

8am in March will be cool...but the water is clear and beautiful. Schedule something to do ahead of time.

That is the only negative. We had our driver stop at a grocery store and we filled a cooler with snacks and drinks...gave her the cooler and leftovers at the end of the day.
