Stevesan Posted October 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2008 :( That flashing check is extremely annoying. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but It's always been my custom to never patronize a business that uses irritating advertising.

Interesting considering Carnival and Princess are owned by the same company. Good logic there.
Druke I Posted October 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2008 I agree - annoying.
Pia1913 Posted October 25, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2008 I had to go back and look for what you said was annoying. I guess it didn't bother me if I didn't notice it.

Goldryder Posted October 25, 2008 #8 Share Posted October 25, 2008 Simple way to remove adverts (annoying and otherwise) - use an adblock. I haven't seen an advert on my pooter for 5 years :) The one I use is AdBlockPlus, it's an add-on for Mozilla Firefox :)
DanJ Posted October 25, 2008 #9 Share Posted October 25, 2008 Interesting considering Carnival and Princess are owned by the same company. Good logic there. How does that relate to some of the annoying advertising we see on this board? (Granted, that annoying advertising does keep the board free for us)
dforeigner Posted October 25, 2008 #10 Share Posted October 25, 2008 Annoying or not, advertisers are the ones paying the bills here. Last time I heard, we do not have to pay a monthly subscription.
amapola Posted October 25, 2008 #11 Share Posted October 25, 2008 I don't see it either, but of course now I'm curious and would like to see it too! LOL I feel very left out :D
Treven Posted October 25, 2008 #12 Share Posted October 25, 2008 I had to go back and look for what you said was annoying. I guess it didn't bother me if I didn't notice it. I hadn't noticed it until it was brought to my attention. Guess it doesn't bother me either. Plus this is still a site paid for by these same companies' advertisements. neecee23 Posted October 25, 2008 #13 Share Posted October 25, 2008 I've never seen it either, so I don't know what you are talking about. But I have Adblock Plus running on my Mozilla Firefox browser, so I guess I wouldn't. Use Firefox, it is safer than Internet Explorer and you can add lots of cool addons.:)
MichCook Posted October 25, 2008 #14 Share Posted October 25, 2008 I guess I, too, don't pay attention to anything that flashes.
bplazo Posted October 25, 2008 #15 Share Posted October 25, 2008 I will have to look for it. I guess it did what it was suppose to do, grabbed your attention. I hate that stupid comercial that they have on tv with the swifter mop where the regular mop is sending flowers and that song "baby come back" is playing. I am always turning the channel on that one. Sandytoes Posted October 26, 2008 #18 Share Posted October 26, 2008 I don't see it either. While back there was an annoying ad everyone complained about. Haven't seen it since. :)
rdsqrl Posted October 26, 2008 #19 Share Posted October 26, 2008 I will have to look for it. I guess it did what it was suppose to do, grabbed your attention. I hate that stupid comercial that they have on tv with the swifter mop where the regular mop is sending flowers and that song "baby come back" is playing. I am always turning the channel on that one. Oh, no, I love those ads! They totally crack me up, especially the one at the supermarket where the mop ends up in a grocery cart rolling out-of-control through the parking. Plus I've always liked that song, even though it feels vaguely uncool to admit it.

palolake Posted October 26, 2008 #21 Share Posted October 26, 2008 I love the Swiffer comercials! Isn't it funny how people respond differently?
Stevesan Posted October 26, 2008 Author #22 Share Posted October 26, 2008 Y'all didn't see the flashing green check because it's gone. Thank you CC. Maybe it annoyed the board monitors, too. :p
