Guadeloupe car rental

We will visiting Guadeloupe in Jan. Just was wondering what was some of your experiences. Is it possible to drive around Basse Terre in about 4 hours?

We were in Guadeloupe about 2 weeks ago and rented a car from Pro-Rent. We took about 5 hours to drive Basseterre and to be honest that was fairly rushed if you actually want to stop and get out at various spots.

The roads are very good on the island but some areas are very winding and can take longer than it looks on the Map (other areas are the opposite). Would definately recommend this option and in four hours you could tour the island but watch the clock!!

Thanks, I'd found the site earlier, but didn't notice the "English" option in the left hand corner. I cannot understand French.

 

This is what I got from their site. In one place it says "all inclusive" but then it talks about a contract charge. I don't understand.
