Rotterdam To Europe

I've done several cruises on the Rotterdam, totaling almost 100 days on that ship alone. I'm also scheduled for another 32 days heading from Athens to Ft. Lauderdale next year. I've done two round- trip trans-At's on her out of NYC, but they were later in the summer.

What I don't know is your itinerary, what you enjoy, or what you're looking to know about.

So, is there anything specific I can answer for you?

The ship is a nice size, in that she's large enough to have amenities, yet small enough that you can feel comfortable. She's beautifully decorated, with lovely artwork. The ship herself is a work of art, IMO.

Food and service are good to excellent. The beds are soooo comfy! :D

Post some questions and I'm sure there will be plenty of answers for you.

Oh, and I think you've made a good choice for a first cruise. ;)

I am going on my first cruise New York to Rotterdam in May 2009, I little worried as I've never been on a ship before. Has anyone done this trip before and what can I expect.I'm wondering also if I should maybe take it onto Copenhegan afterwards.

I have to agree with Ruth. It depends on your likes/dislikes and how good you are at entertaining yourself. There will likely be lots of sea days. Unless you enjoy games such as trivial pursuit, casino gambling, or just reading those days may become too long for you.

Let me make a suggestion -

I don't know where you're home based so can't make any immediate suggestions, but would it be practical for you to take a shorter "practice" cruise beforehand?

There's no substitute for personal experience. :)
