CruiznWithHubby Posted November 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2008 thank GOD no one was hurt,,,,but it's a good reason to leave the vast majority of your cash in your stateroom safe, or purchase travelers checks and split credit cards between traveling companions,,,,my goodness,,,, Holly

marniegirl Posted November 11, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2008 Good to know. Sometimes we take it for granted that things will be safe while we're "Lost in Paradise." It's a shame that this happened and fortunately no one was hurt, also glad they caught the perpetrator. It's certainly nor good for the tourist industry, period! Mommy40 Posted November 11, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2008 Jeff, I was there that day, I left around 2 pm. I tipped the young guy that showed us to our chairs and umbrella and he said to me "I will watch you" I never thought I was in danger. This is so scary! Karysa Posted November 20, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2008 By the newspaper report it sounds like the authorities are taking this seriously. I remember a billboard that I saw in Antigua a couple of years ago, it said "Tourism is everyone's business". Karysa
