Cheap transportation from Miami port to airport?

Does anyone know of an inexpensive shuttle from port of Miami to the airport hotels? It's just me and my husband and we hate to pay $50 to get back to our hotel? Would a taxi be cheaper? Any help would be great!:confused:

A taxi costs about $24 to go from the airport to the pier and vice versa. That's the fastest and easiest way to get there. If you're staying at a hotel near the airport, many hotels have free shuttles--just call your hotel and ask if they do, and how to access it.

DON'T pay $50! Take a cab as cb said. Quick and efficient. Tons when you get off the ship. You might even find someone to split the $25 headed in the same direction!

We always use a taxi. Plenty right outside the terminal. Costs $24.00 + tip. About a 15-20 minute, 7 mile ride depending on traffic.

If you want the cheapest possible, take a public bus. It is a major city & they are everywhere but you may have to walk a block or two.

On my last cruise out of Miami we took the bus from the AP to the Justice Center for about $1 pp. Then got off walked 1 block to the tourist center & paid another $1 pp to go to the port.
