Leigh-Anne V Posted December 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2008 We are going on our first Alaskan cruise Aug. 29 - Sept. 5. We were going to bring our winter coats, but someone recently told us she didn't think we would need them. Reading some threads it looks like it would be really cool standing out on the days we are touring the fjoirds, we are also going out with Harv & Marv. Can someone tell me a rough idea of temperatures that time of year? thanks, :)
Budget Queen Posted December 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2008 It depends on your "winter" coat??? Leave the sub zero parka's at home, and overly bulky coats. Overall you are better off with layers and a mid weight lined jacket. Turtle necks, sweatshirts etc are all useful, mix and match. Also bring a knit hat and gloves, rain gear, two pair of walking shoes.
Yukon Posted December 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2008 In late August, you need to be prepared for RAIN as much as cold - you're well into the wet season.
