TurnLeftKasey Posted December 4, 2008 Author #28 Share Posted December 4, 2008 I actually stayed on deck 5 where the bar is and saw the piano, I saw one gentleman playing it one evening when I walked through there, but there was hardly anyone else around. I didn't hang around to see any of him. Sorry...

04cruises Posted December 4, 2008 #30 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Great reveiw! Nassau can be a little agressive[ok,a lot].There are a few of the islands like that but that is just the way it is,you will learn to adjust and just say NO. Glad you had a great trip. Also, middle of the ship, low, will keep you from rocking too much.
TurnLeftKasey Posted December 5, 2008 Author #31 Share Posted December 5, 2008 Yes, just a firm no... I learned my lesson. Next time I will do some shopping and maybe a tour or something... Next time I will pick my room, I used the gaurantee room which wasn't a huge problem, $10 cheaper but it was at the very front. 5017 on the Monarch. It was on the corner which was nice. TwoWeebles Posted December 6, 2008 #33 Share Posted December 6, 2008 Thanks so much for posting this detailed review. We are going on this same cruise in February and I can't wait!
TurnLeftKasey Posted December 8, 2008 Author #34 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Hey, the formal night was the 2nd night, the Coco Cay night. Again, I recommended not dressing up TOO much, I'm didn't go, but I saw everyone walking around decks 4 and 5, and in the hallways, they were not as dressed up as I thought they'd be. Mostly just black skirts and strappy sandals with a nice blouse. I heard they had lobster bisque as the appetizer and filet as the meal... Sounded great! I think Ill pass on the skirt, blouse and strappy sandals and go with a coat, tie and dress shoes :) Nice review, I am looking forward to trying the monarch after several trips on Sovereign. Just to be fair to Nassau, many of the caribbean and mexico ports can be aggressive, you will see the more you cruise. A polite but firm "no thank you" works great (Wait until you go to Jamaica!). TurnLeftKasey Posted December 8, 2008 Author #36 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Haha, yes! Def not a dress for you Mr. (LOL!) Jamaica, I've heard that... I'll prob skip Jamaica unless the other ports are ports I can't live without. For my first cruise, I was a little shocked. I didn't expect it to be that wild.
