Cruise Cancellation

Can someone please tell me the policy on cancelling a cruise vacation? We are scheduled to sail on May 31st!

You are far enough out to cancel without penalty. You will get all you money back, unless you booked with an agency that charges a cancellation fee.

Good advice on calling Carnival....thought they would be closed today. We have 75 days out to receive 100% refund. Hoping we won't have to go this route but with job market decreasing everyday...need I say more. :(:(

Carnival is never closed.

Many years ago, at the time my husband became unemployed we had already saved and paid for a cruise and went anyway. It was an 11 day cruise, and most of it was already paid for; it's one of our best memories. I hope you can scrimp and save in other ways so you can enjoy your well-deserved vacation.

Make sure you take out insurance with final payment. I recently had to cancel my cruise 8 days out due to family illness. I got 50% back from Carnival and the rest from the insurance company. Not only that, I also got back the original premium from the insurance company - which is something I never heard of or expected. The money from Carnival was credited to my credit card for the next monthly cycle and the insurance check took two weeks.

My sister and her husband did the same thing. They already had a vacation planned and paid for when a week beforehand her husband lost his job. They took the vacation anyways. They would not have gotten any refunds and everything was paid in full.

They ended up having a great time and he got a job a week after they got back.So a happy ending all around!
