scottbee Posted January 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2009 Anyone ever check their cabin for memorable items left behind by previous cruisers? BroncosFan2010 Posted January 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2009 The only thing I have ever found left in my cabin was a few extra hangers. They sure did come in handy though...
mr green Posted January 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2009 When I arrived in Canada, [1955], while sailing on the 'Homeric', I pulled the draws right out of the dresser to check that nothing had fallen behind. Nothing had, but there was a lot of perfume in bottles, behind those draws. I informed the cabin steward, who seemed very angry, but not wanting to cause trouble, I did nothing more. I have ofton wondered however, just what had been going on! john
Sundsgn Posted January 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2009 I found a pair of really nice Clark's women's sandals once in the closet. They were my size too, can you believe it. I left a note about them.
Sioux6 Posted January 21, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2009 Last cruise on the Miracle, I found a pair of womens slip on shoes under the bed. Gave them to the room steward. Will let ya know what I find under the bed on the Freedom in 10 days. Sioux
MedicKen Posted January 21, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2009 Souix6, Just noticed you are sailing in Freedom, is that Freedom of the Seas? If so, I'll keep and eye out for you. barbarah33 Posted January 21, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 21, 2009 I once found a roll of film left behind in the safe. I looked at it and it was clear that it was a 'used' roll so I turned it in to the front desk. I would hate to think that they just tossed it as those were somebody's memories but that's probably what happened.
mstrc1 Posted January 21, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 21, 2009 On our last cruise on Celiberity we found one earing towards the front and under the bed. I turned it in to the cabin stewart. I am sure that she lost it and just could not find it at the time.:(

crusinpsychRN Posted February 19, 2009 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2009 I found 3 books that I ended up reading and leaving for the next guest. I also found a piece of pepperoni on the floor of my "just cleaned" stateroom when we got on board. Yuck!
Maxax Posted February 21, 2009 #13 Share Posted February 21, 2009 We bought two small paintings...in Jamaica...and left them in our room. They weren't expensive...but we like them...and left them behind. Fortunately....I had at least taken a photo of the paintings...so we remember what they looked like! tkat Posted February 23, 2009 #14 Share Posted February 23, 2009 On our first cruise my 7 year old DD found a Cuban cigar under the bed along with a book of matches. I gave it to the Cruise Director on the great smoke out on the Lido deck the last night of the cruise.
gumballz Posted February 24, 2009 #15 Share Posted February 24, 2009 We found a bracelet and a pair of earrings in our cabin on a Celebrity cruise.......turned them in, of course. On a Carnival cruise, a friend of ours found a pair of Jimmy Choo heels under her bed. They looked like they had never been worn and they were so cute! She brought them to our cabin to show us on her way to turn them in. My DD was drooling, as they were her size and she's a shoe fanatic....but she behaved and let them go where they belonged (hopefully back to their owner). :)
tigerlily952 Posted March 7, 2009 #16 Share Posted March 7, 2009 We found a pair of kids sandals in our room under the bed on the Star a few years ago, we gave them to the cabin steward. tigerlily952
dbdave Posted March 18, 2009 #17 Share Posted March 18, 2009 We got a bottle of wine at our Meet'n'Greet and put it in the fridge in our cabin only to forget about it and leave it there. I hope someone got to enjoy it!

Tipsy252 Posted March 21, 2009 #19 Share Posted March 21, 2009 My husband is paranoid about leaving things behind and so while clearing out the safe on our last night, he found a 'gold & saphire' dress ring. He thought it was mine and put it in my jewelery case. I didn't find it until I got home and thought he had bought it for me as a suprise! When I thanked him for my new ring he didn't know what I was on about! Sorry for whoever lost it!:o
Fraucruiser Posted March 22, 2009 #20 Share Posted March 22, 2009 On our Carnival Glory cruise last June we found a bag from the Carnival shop under our bed. My husband thought it might have been ours, so he pulled it out! It WAS NOT ours! It was full of "intimacy gels". It had a receipt that was dated the week before our cruise!!! Yikes! We put it on my mother's balcony (it was her birthday), she opened it and was a bit confused! Needless to say we threw it in the garbage!!!! NanciRDH Posted April 4, 2009 #23 Share Posted April 4, 2009 My kids found a toy car in their room...the red car from Disney's Cars (can't remember his name!) They're too old to play with it, but that little red car was in every photo my dd took all week.
IamMrsOz Posted May 26, 2009 #24 Share Posted May 26, 2009 We found a HUGE (like 8 oz) bottle of Astroglide in the cabinet. It was unopened (guess their cruise wasn't much fun). We had our own more sensible (like 2 oz) size bottle so we left it untouched for the next cruisers. Hopefully someone eventually got some fun out of that Costco size bottle of Astroglide. momofmeg Posted June 21, 2009 #25 Share Posted June 21, 2009 On a One Night Cruise to Nowhere on the Norwegian Spirit last fall my two friend and I found a rather 'used' looking tube of KY under the bed. Gross. Gross. Gross. I think I woudl have given it to the head steward and told him this was left from a previous passenger. He needs to know that his people are not doing their job.
