QUIET?: Very quiet.

BALCONY VIEW: Amazing - on the hump. Could see forward, out and down to clear water.

WIND A PROBLEM?: On a windy day, if you were standing at the rail, you could definitely feel it. When sitting at the table it was not noticeable.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We had this cabin for a B2B and loved it. Excellent location close to mid ship elevators. We love the 1A's for their position on the ship and their oversized balconies.

SHIP: Eclipse

CABIN #: 8257

DECK #: 8

CLASS: 1A

AREA: Mid Ship

BED NEAR: Veranda

QUIET?: Very quiet.

BALCONY VIEW: Amazing - on the hump. Could see forward, out and down to clear water.

BALCONY SIZE: Oversized

WIND A PROBLEM?: On a windy day, if you were standing at the rail, you could definitely feel it. When sitting at the table it was not noticeable.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This cabin was in a great area of the ship, near the midship elevators, but the room has a vibration problem. We could feel the vibration 24/7. Most of the time it was slight, but there were times each day that it was bad enough that we left the cabin to escape it. Although not a problem for us, the cabin steward closet is right outside the door, so there was usually some kind of cleaning cart or other boxes right outside our door.

SHIP:  Equinox

CABIN #:  8162

DECK #:  8

CLASS:  1A

AREA:  Forward / Starboard - near forward elevators

BED NEAR:  Bath

QUIET?: Very quiet

BALCONY VIEW:  Unobstructed out and to the rear - no view forward

BALCONY SIZE:  Larger than average slanted balcony

WIND A PROBLEM?:  No

SOOT A PROBLEM?:  No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This cabin is located on the back of the forward slant so it has a larger, angled balcony.  Due to the angle, there is no view forward but excellent view to the rear and out.

Ship:   Silhouette

Cabin# 1239

Deck#10

Class #. Royal Suite

Area# Midship Port

Bed#. Near balcony

Quiet# yes

Balcony View #.  Unobstructed

Balcony size#.  Typical RS, jetted bathtub taking up lots of space

Wind Problem#.  Transatlantic so windy and furniture tied up

Problems#.  No electric adjustable bed as promised in brochure.   No DVD player. Fresh flowers consisted of 4 short roses in a square vase.   A CC rose came later.   No newspapers, no menus offered.   MC Concierge is very good but is also very busy with Zenith passengers.    Standard menus for Specialties are in MC.     Escort to MC on boarding, no escort to cabin.   Cabin was ready when all cabins were available.

Summary#.  No special treatment for RS.   Really miss the promised bed!

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SHIP:  Equinox

CABIN #:  1245

DECK #:  10

CLASS:  Concierge Two

AREA:  Port Hump (closest to aft elevators)

BED NEAR:  Veranda

QUIET?:  Pretty Much

BALCONY VIEW:  Unobstructed but angled due to being on the hump.  Lifeboats way down on 5 to the left.

BALCONY SIZE:  Larger than usual (hump).

WIND A PROBLEM?:  No

SOOT A PROBLEM?:  No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:  Had minor issues with A/C control (too hot at times) and also getting the light to come on in the bathroom from time to time (master switch issues).  Facing was coming off one of the drawers in the bathroom but our SRA got it repaired.  Lots of storage, a bit cramped near the vanity/bed area regarding walking path.  SRA storage closet right outside the door, but it wasn't an issue.  Could hear scrapping of chairs above us and the people next door's TV (slightly).  Very conveniently located to the aft elevators.  I would stay in this stateroom again.

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 3103

DECK #: 3

CLASS: Ocean view accessible cabin

AREA: Front of ship

BED NEAR:  Middle of room

QUIET?: No - every morning from about 5am there were sounds of scraping, banging etc. Originally we thought it was the anchor going down but it even occurred on sea days - maybe from the Solstice Theatre which is very close.

BALCONY VIEW:  Ocean view only

BALCONY SIZE: No

WIND A PROBLEM?: none

SOOT A PROBLEM?: none

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:  This is a very large room with heaps and heaps of storage. The noise each morning would put me off booking this cabin again.

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #:1231

DECK #: 10

CLASS: C2

AREA: port side, midship, on the slant of the hump

BED NEAR: balcony

QUIET?: totally; no noise issues

BALCONY VIEW: out and forward

BALCONY SIZE: huge; this cabin has the largest balcony

WIND A PROBLEM?: only if you stood at the rail, and sometimes further back as we were on a *very* windy late fall TA in the North Atlantic [we have sailed in the same cabin on the Eclipse, and wind was not an issue; the TA on the Silhouette was particularly windy]

SOOT A PROBLEM?: not at all

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: this is our favorite location on the S-class ships; it is near the elevators (no noise from them) and the location is incredibly convenient.  Our only issue with this cabin was that the bed (the two twins pushed together) was uncomfortable -- it had a sort of hump in the middle and sloped downward to both sides.  We mentioned this to our cabin steward, who realized that the zipper holding the two twin mattress pads together had not been zipped up.  He fixed that, and it helped somewhat, but not totally.  We probably should have taken the issue further with housekeeping, though I can't imagine what they would have done.

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 1616

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Penthouse Suite

AREA: Mid Ship

BED NEAR: Separate bedroom:  very spacious

QUIET?: YES; never heard either of my neighbors; or the elevators

BALCONY VIEW: amazing, in both directions

BALCONY SIZE: two balconies; one opens from living room; other, with jacuzzi, opens from bedroom

WIND A PROBLEM?: nope

SOOT A PROBLEM?: nope

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Amazing suite. Way too big for one person, but I did my best....

The little fridge is no match for the full-sized fridge on M-class penthouses

Plenty of easy-to-reach outlets around the suite

MY opinion, but that piano has GOT TO GO; wasted space

Main bathroom larger than some cabins on the ship; tub hard to get into/out of

Veranda is no match to the huge one on M-class

Plenty of room for 4 people:  2 bathrooms; walk-in closet; loads of storage

Pray that Dharma is your butler; he's AMAZING!!!

Ship: Refelection

Cabin:7141

Deck: 7

Class: 2B

Area: Forward/ Port

Bed Near:

Balcony View: Unobstructed

Balcony size: Larger than average because this is a wheelchair accessible stateroom

Wind: Normal

Soot: None

Comments: IMPORTANT: There is no "double lock" on these doors. The only thing preventing your SA from entering, is a knock and a DND sign (assuming it didn't fall to the ground) Also, to open the door you hit a button and then wait ten seconds for it to close itself. Opening or closing manually is difficult. Not a good setup.

Wheelchair accessible means larger everything. However, when showering while underway, the water goes all over the bathroom floor as there is nothing to contain the water to the shower area.

WiFi signal is only 2 bars on average.

Soundproofing between 7141 and 7139 is almost non existent.

No tie rack in closet.
