Arwenmark Posted January 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2009 You can bring a reasonable amount of water and soda I sailed in Dec. and brought a case of water and two 12 can sleeves of soda, taped and tagged them and they were delivered to my cabin. If however you call and ask NCL they will tell you no you are not allowed to bring it. Don't ask. Can't help you with the question on beer. Tipping for cabin and dining is billed to your on board account 12 pp per day. Tipping on any drink soda or otherwise is 15% added to your bill. If you use room service tip them according to how much you have delivered.

Eeyoregon Posted January 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2009 thanks so much I think I will try to bring on a little bit of water. Hey up there in Washington! We get off the Star on the 28th!! I always bring my own soda and some water. I like to pack it in a soft-sided rolling cooler and just roll it on as my carryon. Then I put the soda in the fridge and use the cooler as a dirty clothes hamper. Happy sailing!
mikaula Posted January 30, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Was on the Star in November and was able to check a case of water. It was delivered to our room with no problem. Was on the Star last week....absolutely turned down for checking case of water. I was told we could carry it on so we did. Bummer that they wouldn't let us check it again. They said too many bottles broke on luggage and caused water damage.
