How much is the Grand Suite REALLY worth

We have an opportunity to upgrade from a balcony (deck 7) to the Grand Suite (deck 10) for $1800 on Explorer of the Sea. There are 3 adults in the cabin. Worth it or not?

Yes, I like the extra room and the larger bathroom. You also receive the conceirge service.

First if the price you paid for your room plus the 1800 is not at least half of the cost of the GS now for the same cruise then it is not worth it. There is no second bedroom for the third person and the sofa is not good. If it was a AB penthouse on the NCL Dawn (which is the same cat as the GS) it would be better because there is a second bedroom and bathroom. We have stayed in both. The GS is a good room for two people.
