Any perks for CAT BA on SKY

We are on the SKY April 20, 2009 and have booked a BA aft balcony. Are there any perks that come along with a BA cabin? I thought I read here awhile back about perks associated with this CAT and freestyle 2.0.

Your Thread here cought my eye as I have a "BA" on April 6. I think they are supose to "ESCORT" you to your cabin:rolleyes: :D. I remember the GF telling me on the last night you have cookies left in your room. I also think you can order fruit or something like that for your cabin ? Not real sure as I'm a Carnival man whose just going along..:D I did buy the Romance Package for $79.00 as that looks to be a great deal. You may want to look into that if it's that kind of trip..;) Enjoy..:D

Well they say that this bad economy only effects the middle class. The FILTHY RICH (For which I would NOT BE A JAILER:D) or the VERY POOR wont be effected so after hearing that I threw the last cruise on the card ! To hell with it !:D P.S. They are all short trips but I like to add a day or two on the front to make a nice trip for myself and DS (He's 9)..

Hey Steve, I no sooner get done telling you how I hope for that up-grade just like you and of course tonight NCL sold 3 out of the 5 Suites that WERE still open for my cruise..:mad: My up-grade chances got cut into MORE then half..:D

I say Chicago but it's Joliet (No less of crime:eek: :D) I will be in #9077 !:D I don't think it really matters whom you booked your cruise with as people here talk about up-grades from both booking direct and through a T/A. Good Luck on that up-grade ! I still remember the guy on here who wrote that he had a "BA" booked on the SKY and NCL called him and offered him an "AA" Owners Suite That are like $4600.00 for $100.00pp to up-grade ! Yeah, Hot Tub on the Balcony now that would be a tough adjustment ;)? I hope you guy's get that call as the last one on my cruise sold tonight. Their are just a couple of the AFT corner Suites still open which I would GRAB for the right price but not get NEAR as excited..:D

and no escort to our stateroom on either Dawn or Jewel. We had mnini on both & only 48 hour reservation time for specialty restaurants. You got champagne when you boarded, got the fruit bowl with a piece per person for what you requested (oranges, apple, banana). I asked for grapes, kiwi, papaya & got -0-. No special restaurant for breakfast or lunch, just the main dining room. Nothing delivered to room stating anything else for us.

Yes last night did have chocolate chip cookies awaiting us on both cruises.

Even more....I have a sister in Crest Hill and One in joliet, Others in Plainfield and Lombard. Do you work at Joliet State Prison?

Sisters HuH ??;) I'll be a good boy !:) No Prisons ! I would not work for that dump. I am a Deputy in the County Jail run by the Sheriff's Dept. I was just on the NCL website looking @ my sail date and looked at yours while I was there as they are both listed on the "April" 4 night cruise page. While I still only have only TWO SUITES LEFT to get an up-grade to. YOU and BIG STEVE have SIX SUITES LEFT ! :D If that's not hard enough pill to swallow you also paid $200.00 less for your "BA" then I had to..:D What am I doing going on April 6th ????? OH, That's right I have a "LADY" friend meeting me onboard from Europe... Now I remember...:D I'm back to being Happy about April 6Th again...;)

We did not get escorted to our room...

 

We did get chocolate chip cookies..although not on the last night we got them on the second night...

 

We did get to eat in one of the main dining rooms for breakfast since we were in a balcony cabin. We were able to eat in the Palace Dining room for breakfast.

 

Other than that...there were no added perks to having a BA cabin.

 

But it was a great cruise...and if there was something else we were supposed to get for being in a BA i didn't miss it at all...

Glad to hear you had a good time. You didn't smell any funky oders back there did you ? They had a SEWAGE oder issue back ther last July but I think they finally addressed it. Did you have to keep your curtins closed all the time to keep the cabin cool ? Thanks once more and welcome home..:)

I am not sure what sale I got in on but I booked back at the end of December with a TA that had an onboard credit deal and if we got a good price that is Kewl too! They also threw in two bottles of wine!!

To late for the Romance Package ? NOT AT ALL..:D I booked Direct through NCL so I just had to call them and pay the $79.00 over the phone with a Credit Card and they e-mail me my paid invoice. Did you look up all you get for $79.00 ? A Bottle of sparkling wine at embarkation in your cabin (To go with your two bottles from your TA:D) Little sandwiches or whatever they call them:rolleyes:. Strawberries also in your cabin, Dinner for two @ Le Bistro which is supose to be nice and that ALSO includes a free bottle of wine with that dinner, an invatation to a Romance party for free wine and cake and a free photo as well. Not bad at all for the $$. I would call your travel agent and have them place the order as most cruiselines will not work with you if you are using a travel agent. Your agent can order it for you if you can't. I would try first myself and see if I could book it. Just look the # up on the NCL website under gifts..:D What a nice surprise for that someone special right ?:)

Mr.Jailerman...there was a smell around the aft elevators but it wasn't exactly a sewage smell. It did not get into the cabins...it really didn't bother me...

 

As for the curtains..we didn't keep them shut..but that was because we just didn't remember to shut them when we left...the room was always cool when we entered...I would have liked it to be a lot cooler than it was but I was dealing with 2 other people who think if a room is below 80 degrees it is cold....(don't ask)...

 

The only time I did get up to close them was on the 1st night because it was a full moon and I woke up with the moon shinning directly into my eyes...Very pretty though...
