dleppard60 Posted February 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Does anyone know if a passport is required for cruises that visit Costa Rica.
Lsimon Posted February 26, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2009 I'd check with your cruise line or travel agent to confirm passport requirements. Having said that it is my impression that in the current season passports are not necessary for Caribbean cruises originating from the USA but you will need other documentation. This is supposed to be changing June 1 and after that date you will need a passport. Aside from the requirements, there are a lot of good reasons why you should have a passport - the biggest one is that it will be very difficult to fly home without one should you miss the ship at a port or become ill and need to leave your cruise. There are no good reasons to sail without a passport.
