rundogrun Posted April 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2004 A travel agent friend just mentioned that Celebrity was bringing a new (not sure if it's "brand" new or new as in different Celebrity ship than previously positioned here) ship to NY that was going to sail year round out of NY and Philly. She just learned about it herself. Anybody know anything about this? We've been sailing NCL and RCCL because my wife hates to fly. I really need to get back to Celebrity... zurmolly Posted April 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2004 Huh, your kidding..That would be GREAT! It seem like all the cruiselines are going to get on the bandwagon and come to NY and sail elsewhere than Bermuda and the Northeast. It is about time! cruisebunny32 Posted April 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2004 I know that the Zenith or the Horizon do trips to Bermuda out of Philadelphia, a few each year. Check that out if you want! Sometimes there are also repositioning cruise, where you would only fly one way. They position the cruise ship from an old itinerary, to a new one. That should be happening fairly soon since the ships are down in Panama now and soon start sailing to Bermuda! 123cruise4ever Posted April 8, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2004 I would like to hear about more cruises from Philly, NYC, and other northern ports too. As a family of 4 it gets costly to fly to Florida. Bermuda....Celebrity Horizon 5/2004
deb18 Posted April 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 8, 2004 But one reason we moved to Fl. in the first place was so we could get to the cruise ports easily. Please don't take all the ships away from us. Besides, isn't Miami and the southern east coast of Fl. really an extension of NYC with a little more international beat?
