Have you dined recently aboard The World?

My memory of the various restaurants aboard The World is that they were very expensive but I've heard comments lately that the pricing is very reasonable. Has the pricing been restructured or have the prices just not gone up in the last few years?

Does anyone have any pricing information for having a private chef cook a meal in your apartment?

A World of Difference

For Rental Guests, our nightly rates, inclusive of a Full American Plan, are created to include a selection of complimentary amenities: luxurious accommodations, dining in our four restaurants, two casual eateries and 24-hour room service, onboard entertainment, ship staff gratuities, daily housekeeping, port charges and taxes. Your mini-bar and mini-refrigerator are stocked with complimentary non- alcoholic beverages (water and soft drinks). Upon arrival, you will be asked for your choice of spirits or wine.

Please note that there is a limit of two complimentary bottles per week in the dining plan. Additional mini-bar requests will be charged as noted on the room service menu. Premium wines, champagnes and spirits are also available at an additional charge.

When enjoying any of our restaurants, bars or lounges, all Guests will be presented with a verification form for signature. This signature will confirm your visit to that restaurant or lounge.

The surcharge covers the extraordinarily high maintenance fees, gratuities, port charges and housekeeping not meal plans. These apartments are far more expensive to maintain than the typical ER homes so there is an extra surcharge to help offset. No one seems to mind since the experience is so fabulous. No other DC's will be allowed to purchase units on The World but I would like to know if any of them have plans to buy into the Four Seasons or any of the others.
