jam82 Posted March 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2009 My son is 2 and will going on his 4th cruise next week. We have always brought a stroller with us in the past, but are debating about it this time. We will be flying and have some concerns about walking through the airport without one, but I don't think we will use it on the ship too much. What do you all suggest? Should we go without or go with what we know?
jam82 Posted March 14, 2009 Author #2 Share Posted March 14, 2009 Does anyone have the Camp Carnival Capers for the Victory on the Southern Itinerary? If not, any info on the 2-5 program would be appreciated.
SaySumthing Posted March 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2009 I can't speak to not having a stroller on a cruise, but I have vowed to never by air without at least a small stroller. Having been delayed for hours and hours with a baby in just a front carrier and no where to set him down, I now will always have something with me. Just something to think about. cb at sea Posted March 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2009 You may not need it ON THE SHIP, but how about in ports? I'd bring it---at 2, he's not going to be able to walk as fast and as far as you may want to! If he's not using it, put your "stuff" in it---purchases, purse, etc... OnTheBrink Posted March 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2009 Well, we leave in two weeks. My kids are 4.5 and nearly 8. There is NO WAY I'd go without our Mac Triumph for our 4 year old!
Kerry's Girls Posted March 14, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2009 I'd much rather have it and not need it than the other way around. My twins were 4 on our last cruise and it was great to have when they got too tired to walk - at the airport, in port, at the end of the night, etc. Best, Mia

jlbl4902 Posted March 14, 2009 #8 Share Posted March 14, 2009 We always brought it for my son... He went on his first cruise at 18months... We stopped bringing it once he turned 4 - mine folded up small and I was able to put it in the closet. Have a great cruise...
DLKTALLY Posted March 15, 2009 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2009 I never owned a portable stroller but bought one for our upcoming cruise, to use in ports. I never considered using it on the ship. Mom to a very independent 3 year old who likes to walk...
honeywell Posted March 15, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Take an umbrella stroller - perfect for a cruise!
c-cruise Posted March 15, 2009 #11 Share Posted March 15, 2009 We just got back from our 4th cruise with our 2 yr old. We didn't use the stroller much, but just enough to make it worth bringing. Didn't use it on the ship at all, mostly in ports and for the pre and post cruise stuff.
