LorrieB Posted March 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2009 Does Carnival Stock split at a certain point? We own Wal-Mart stock and it will split once it reaches around $60 a share.
Keithww Posted March 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2009 That is based on the opinion of the Board of Directors on what they want the target price to be. I have held stock that split at 65 to 80 every time it hit that target, and stock that didn't split at 200. I've also had stock split at 85, then after I sold it, fell to the low teens and did a reverse 1 for 3 split. Berkshire Hathaway A hit a all time high of over 148,000 dollars a share, so some stocks never split.

FrogsMcGee Posted March 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2009 Carnival had a 2 for 1 split in 1998. I wouldn't anticipate one in the near future.
jjlb Posted March 16, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2009 since we're CCL addicts anyway. One question - Can you ALWAYS use your $100 credit off a room or not with Military booking, other bookings, etc.,...you know always the excuses (as things currently stand)? mistyinca Posted March 16, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2009 Anyone who has had Carnival stock for a while, is it pretty stable? Don't really expect to make any money, but would hate for it to drop big time.
maxamuus Posted March 16, 2009 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2009 It is already trading at near 5 year lows. http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=CCL#chart1:symbol=ccl;range=5y;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=on;source=undefined Even after 9-11 it was trading about where it is now. So unless the economy goes into a depression my guess would be you would be fine. Although from your picture you dont look like a old women so even if it did drop BIG TIME you would have the time to ride it out till it came back to a good price.
