helicopter Posted March 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2009 extension on payments? We have friends going with us and something came up, they need about a ten day extension on final payment due 3/24. Of the 2860.00 due they need extension on about 500.00 of that:eek:
surfclam2003 Posted March 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2009 Why don't you pay for it then they can pay you back?
gtalum Posted March 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2009 If they call Carnival (or the TA, if you used one) Carnival will probably allow the extension, but just know that they aren't contractually obligated to and thus might not. Most likely the answer will depend on how close the sailing is to being fully booked.
poobears Posted March 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2009 They do but it's up to them if they want to or not. Have them call their PVP or whoever they booked through. Tell them they can pay all but the $500 and see if they'll float the rest.
Grits53 Posted March 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2009 Yes, call the PVP and request an extension. I have done this once in the past for my daughter, and there was no problem at all with it.

Sometimes something can be worked out for a couple of days. 10 days is doubtful but it never hurts to try.
tnt091605 Posted March 18, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2009 I have read on here that Carnival will make short extensions. But as stated above they are not obligated.
TheVegasMan Posted March 18, 2009 #8 Share Posted March 18, 2009 Isn't that what credit cards are for?
poobears Posted March 18, 2009 #9 Share Posted March 18, 2009 I would be sure they got a firm answer before they pay anymore though. Don't want to pay a couple thousand and then be told too late for the rest and lose it.
dbogusch Posted March 19, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 19, 2009 I bet they'd give it because the other option is to cancel and rebook in ten days.
BND Posted March 19, 2009 #11 Share Posted March 19, 2009 We put ours on a cc and if we can't pay it off that month, we pay it off the next. Do they have a cc?
