MS_Indy_Queen Posted March 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2009 Hi, I have been checking online and can't seem to find much information on this. I noticed there is a placed called the Plaza De Toros Monumental that is by La Sagrada Familia, but I am wondering if those bullfights are still active? I know they are places in Madrid, but was curious if there was any in Barcelona? Any help would be appreciated. Also looking for a Flemenco restaurant in Barcelona as well. Thanks
MS_Indy_Queen Posted March 19, 2009 Author #2 Share Posted March 19, 2009 I think I found my own answer on the bullfighting. It was banned in 2004 in Barcelona and the place listed online is now a museum. Any recommendations for any restaurants that have Flamenco dancers perform? Normandie-BCN Posted March 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2009 Bullfights are not banned in Barcelona and you usually have "corridas" in spring and summer on Sundays. You may find information here: http://fets3.freetranslation.com/?Sequence=core&Language=Spanish%2FEnglish&Url=http://www.portaltaurino.com/barcelona/barcelona_index.htm Once you know the date you want to attend, you may buy the tickets here: http://www.servicaixa.com/nws/jsp/session.jsp;jsessionid=JC1q3RnFf5pGLzvft7ldNKjKsmKqm2G0wncx2h0VkQwhvJB31lcY!2070470751!-1960361558?control=serviticket.sis.servlets.hSrvIniciNWS&idioma=ING&CODIUSU=servicaixa

Although I just tried putting in a date listed on the top page and I don't see tickets listed (I looked up April 19th and May 17th). Maybe I'm doing something wrong? MS_Indy_Queen Posted March 27, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted March 27, 2009 Here:) http://gospain.about.com/od/bullfightinginspain/qt/barcabullfight.htm Thank you! I first went here and saw Plaza de Toros Monumental listed, I did a search online and read it's a museum so it's a bit confusing actually.
